The catalogue illustration looks too pale. The colours of the painting look warmer. Good overall condition. The canvas has been correctly relined about 30 years ago. Under ultraviolet light: Under a uniform green varnish. There a thin retouches in the hair and neck of the flautist on the right. Some retouches in the beard and the lower part of his leg. Some dots of repaint in the hair of the guitar player on the left and in his cuirass. A few small retouches are visible at the top of his sleeve. Other small restorations in the blue drapery under the guitar. Some scattered dots in the background.
