Condition
The colours of the painting are a little bit darker compared to the catalogue illustration.
Good overall condition.
The canvas has been relined with wax (a little bit too strong).
There are a few restored paint losses in the upper right corner, visible to the naked eye.
Under ultraviolet light:
Under a uniform green varnish.
There is an old restored tear (1 cm) in the lower left corner, in the dark area between the red drapery and the dress.
If the discoloured varnish was removed, a tonal improvement would be achieved.
