There are two old restored vertical tears (45 cm) in the central trunk. Under ultraviolet light: Under a thick uniform green varnish. There are two vertical tears as mentioned above. A small restoration (3 cm) in the right trunk. The forelegs of the dog have been retouched. Small retouches in the rock in the lower right corner and to fill in some cracks in the foliage. (2) The sherpherdess and her herd Good overall condition. The canvas has been correctly relined. The paint is beginning to lift a little bit, especially in the centre on the right of the trunks. Small paint losses in the foliage upper centre visible to the naked eye and in the catalogue. Under ultraviolet light: Under a green varnish partly cleaned. A thin vertical restoration (7 cm) along the right trunk in the centre. A few slight retouches to fill in some cracks in the foliage. Two small restorations in the upper left and lower right corners.
