Condition

Old lining. The paint surface is stable but fairly thin and in areas the canvas weave is visible; a poorly repaired tear at upper corner; a vertical repaired tear at center, slightly to the left of the bunch of grapes; a few smaller repairs and fillings to paint loss at the corners; the canvas is starting to detach from the lining at lower right corner. Overall the painting is dark and and the canvas is irregular and slightly buckling in areas.
