The paint surface has numerous repairs to tears and paint loss in the background around the figure, particularly in the upper half, where repairs tp horizontal tears can be seen with the naked eye. The repairs extend across the girl's hair. Under UV light: large areas of inpainting at upper left; upper right and center left; a long horizontal line of inpainting across the girl's forehead and another, shorter one across her neck.
