The canvas is lined. Overall cracquelure and surface dirt. Under UV, retouching along the lower edge and spot of retouching in the girl's dress.

The Knitting Girl was a desirable subject among Meyer von Bremen's clients at the time, and the artist executed several versions of it on commission.
