Catalogue Note
This is an early work by Liszt, composed during his tours across Europe, dedicated to the Stubenvoll-Gesellschaft of Munich in 1843. This is the third verse of the second version of Trinkspruch, which was only first published in 1929, in the Neue Zeitschrift für Musik. Another, earlier version with piano accompaniment exists in an uncorrected copyist manuscript in Weimar, but remains unpublished.
