Description

  • Collection of over fifty postcards and photographs, most signed and inscribed ("Enrico Caruso")
including about 20 photographs of Caruso, with some informal snapshots (probably unpublished), other photographic portraits and caricatures of him and his family, about half signed and inscribed, showing Caruso as Manrico, in a racing car (1910), painting and dining with Felipe Galante, stoking a bonfire, and in family groups, including his sons Fofo and Mimmi; together with about 30 postcards signed and inscribed, including about 20 with lengthy autograph inscriptions by Caruso to Felipe and Rosina Galante



c.57 items in all, various sizes, Buenos Aires, Santos, Montevideo, Atlanta, 1907-1917 where dated, postage stamps removed from about 10 postcards, with slight loss, some browning
