Catalogue Note

A good conspectus of British musical life from the second half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth. The addressee in the great majority of letters is Henry Dexter Truscott who, in addition to being a Justice of the Peace, Master of the Worshipful Company of Musicians, was also a composer in his own right.
