Catalogue Note
This is the first issue of the full score of the Ninth Symphony, including the two-page list of subscribers and the music engraved throughout without metronome marks. This copy bears the ownership inscription of Paul Richter, Romanian composer, pianist and conductor (1875-1950). He was a pupil of Nikisch at the Leipzig Conservatory and worked with Bartók, Hubermann, Strauss and Weingartner.
