Condition
The painting is in overall good condition. The canvas is clear and taut.
Examination under UV light reveals some spots of retouching, mostly on the upper register (parasol, chin, cheeks, chest area of the standing figure). Scattered small spots of retouching are detected on the lower register (hem of seated male figure's shirt and ground). Restoration is apparent after ultraviolet light inspection.
There are some areas of craquelures: standing figure's thigh, pink area near hemline of her dress (circular pattern, chest area, cheek area), as well as the foot of the seated male figure in the bottom register. However, paint layers are intact and stable.
