Description

the ovoid body rising from a short spreading foot to a trumpet neck, set to one side with a triple-stranded strap handle and to the other with a short cylindrical spout, covered overall with a white slip and a creamy-white glaze

Condition

With the exception of a 2mm., chip to the edge of the foot, a tiny hairline firing crack across the back of the handle, light glaze scratches and minor firing and glaze imperfections, the ewer is in very good overall condition.
