Catalogue Note

The Norman, originally named John C. Munro, was an iron hulled clipper built in 1862 at the Laing Shipyard in Sunderland, with a net weight of 613 tons.  Her first owner was Mr G.L. Munro; her name was changed to Norman in 1892 and she was wrecked for years later.
