SENSATIONAL FANCY COLOURED DIAMOND 'BUTTERFLY' BROOCH, CARVIN FRENCH

The body set with three oval, 5.53 carats, the wings encrusted throughout with pear-shaped and brilliant-cut pink and yellow diamonds extending to the antennae, the pink and yellow diamonds together weighing approximately 12.87 and 5.90 carats respectively, detachable brooch fittings, signed.

Colour and Clarity: Please note the pear-shaped blue diamond should weigh 1.24 carats. All three blue diamonds and larger pear-shaped pink diamonds are certified and of natural colour. According to GIA reports, the lozenge-shaped blue diamond is of Fancy Vivid Blue colour, VS1 clarity; both the marquise- and pear-shaped blue diamonds are of Fancy Intense Blue colour, VS1 and VVS1 (potential) clarity respectively. All pear-shaped pink diamonds are in the range of Fancy Intense, Fancy Deep to Fancy Vivid Purplish Pink and Pink colours. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, all blue diamonds show strong and noticeable face-up hue, great saturation and nice brilliance. The pink diamonds are of vibrant hues, mostly SI clarity and a few may be of I1. Other yellow diamonds and smaller round pink diamonds show strong to vibrant hues, overall in VS to SI clarity. Altogether the rose-cut diamonds and small coloured diamonds weigh approximately 22.75 carats. Signed to the reverse. Condition: Delicate wings are slightly articulated and fully studded with natural coloured diamonds, giving additional scintillations and "life" to the butterfly. In excellent condition.
