Description

  • Carving approximately 165.00 x 150.00 x 70.00mm.
Carved as a Chinese cabbage, signifying prosperity and good fortune, of translucent material with graduated hues from celadon to rich emerald green colour, decorated with a pair of mantis perching on top of the cabbage.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the jadeite "cabbage" is translucent to semi-translucent, of graduated shades of green, from light celadon on the trunk bottom to light apple green colour on the leafs. One particular "mantis" is crafted from patch of rich emerald green jadeite, in fine translucency. Upon careful inspection, there some tiny and minor brownish spots or inclusions, which do not affect the general appearance. Condition: Very fine and detailed workmanship, accompanied by a fitted black chalcedony stand, all in excellent condition.
