The ring centring on a pear-shaped rubellite weighing approximately 11.50 carats, encircled by brilliant-cut diamonds, decorated on each side by a pear-shaped motif pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds; the pair of pendent earrings of matching design, each suspending a pear-shaped rubellite altogether weighing approximately 12.50 carats; and a pendant set with a pear-shaped rubellite weighing approximately 13.00 carats, accompanied by a 14 karat white gold chain, length approximately 390mm; altogether the diamonds weighing approximately 3.00 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold. (3)
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, all rubellites are of matching deep, saturated purplish red colour, eye clean. Under 10x loupe, the rubellites generally show minor natural inclusions and a few surface chips along facet junctions and girdle. Overall, these clarity features are not noticeable to unaided eyes and do not affect the brilliance of the gemstones. The diamonds are probably of G to H colours, VS to SI clarity.
Condition: The chain is of 14 karat white gold, slightly distorted but of acceptable quality. Minor signs of wear and scratches to the mounts, otherwise in good condition.
