Modelled as a single flower head, the circular plaque centring on a rose-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.30 carats, surrounded by bird, bat and bee motifs encrusted throughout with rose-cut diamonds, the diamonds together weighing approximately 2.50 carats, two diamonds deficient, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the larger rose-cut diamond set in the middle is probably of L to M colour, SI clarity. Other smaller rose-cut and two brilliant-cut diamonds are of about J to L colours, SI to I clarity. Traditional Nyonya jewellery, this brooch is probably worn with the following lot to form a complete 'kerongsang rantai', set of three chain brooches. Condition: Two rose-cut diamonds are deficient. There should probably have a dangling diamond drop attached to the bottom, but is now missing.
