Description
- Cabbage approximately 90.44 x 67.72 x 132.60mm.
Carved as a Chinese cabbage, signifying prosperity and good fortune, of semi-translucent celadon tone material suffused with dusky green colour towards the edges of the leaves, within a weaved basket of semi-translucent yellowish material with tint of celadon colour, the base carved as a lotus leaf of opaque material in milky-grey to celadon tone, further decorated with snail and beetle motifs.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the jadeite carving is semi-translucent to translucent, in various hues of pale to deep green and strong honey yellow colour. Under illumination, there are cloudy inclusions, particularly for pale green jadeite 'leaf' to the bottom. Display box approximately 182.48 x 147.29 x 192.40mm.
Condition: Very interesting and clever use of natural jadeite colours, detailed and lively craftsmanship, in very good condition.
