Set with a cushion-shaped cabochon star sapphire weighing 31.00 carats, amid a stylised basket micropavé-set with sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds extending to the shank, the sapphires together weighing approximately 1.65 carats, mounted in 18 karat blackened gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to Gübelin report, the star sapphire is natural, of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating, displaying a distinct and well-centered asterism (star effect). Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the star sapphire is medium blue colour, eye clean of translucent to almost semi-transparent, which is rare for natural star sapphire of this size. Under 10x loupe, there are only a few small crystal inclusions and fine silks. Diamonds weighing approximately 0.60 carat, are probably of F to G colours, VS clarity. Tiny round sapphires are of about medium intense blue colour, eye clean.
Condition: Please note that the Gübelin report was done before re-mounting the star sapphire, which is now featured in a brand new stylized ring mount.
