Condition
The canvas is unlined and well stretched. The painting is composed of two pieces of canvas sewn together. There is craquelure along the lower edge and evidence of some repairs. Under ultraviolet light, there is inpainting to the lower left corner, three 1 in. spots along the lower edge, 1 in. from the left and a 2 in. vertical line of inpainting along the lower left edge of the work. There appears to be a slightly opaque varnish on the work and evidence of possible scattered inpainting throughout the work, especially in the center. There are also several lines of inpainting along the left edge, 10 in. from the top.
