Condition

The canvas is unlined and well stretched. There are a few cracks scattered throughout the work. Under ultraviolet light there are a few spots that fluoresce white along the bottom half of the left edge, most likely from retouching. There are also three spots of possible inpainting to the left of the upper left figure's shoulder, the largest of these areas measuring one square inch. There are also a few areas of possible retouching in the four men and in the clock. There also appears to be a slightly opaque varnish. Otherwise in good condition.
