Condition

Cf: Géza von Habsburg, Fabergé - Cartier, Rivalen am Zarenhof, Kunsthalle der Hypo-Kulturstiftung und Hirmer Verlag GmbH, München, 2003, page 414, for an example of a similar brooch. Signed Cartier to the pin and numbered 6834. Delicate piece, please note that one section of rock crystal is slightly loose in the setting, small chip to reverse of slightly loose rock crystal panel, near centre of brooch, only visible under 10x magnification, not visible from the obverse. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 1.20 carats. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with age and wear. In very good condition.
