GEM-SET AGATE AND DIAMOND CASE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Description

The rectangular banded agate case millegrain-set to the hinges and clasp with jade tablets, highlighted with rose-cut diamonds, a central oval motif similarly set, measurements approximately 83mm x 54mm x 16mm, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Some jadeite tablets with cracks and small chips. Diamonds bright and lively. Banded agate with some very small nicks to underside with light scratches. Secure clasp. In excellent condition.
