Buddha Shakyamuni wearing a crown and a close-fitting robe with the borders engraved with textile patterns, hands in bhumishparsha mudra, and seated in vajraparyankasana on a lotus pedestal with a vajra engraved to the upper surface, the gilt copper consecration plate beneath intact and engraved with a visvavajra.

Condition

In good condition overall. Minor rubbing to the gilding and some accretion. The base sealed with an intact consecration plate engraved with a visvavajra. Some pieces of semi-precious stone inlay missing. The ribbon on the right side of the diadem bent slightly forwards. No restoration.
