The illustration picturing two lovers seated on a terrace, depicted as Radha and Krishna, could be from a ragamala series. The Rajasthani principality of Malpura is located between Jaipur to the north and Bundi to its south.

Compare the iconography with an illustration of Desakh Ragini from Bundi/Kota, see K. Ebeling, Ragamala Painting, Basel, Paris, New Delhi, 1973, no. 133, p. 220.
