  • Dimensions: 42 7/8 in (109 cm) x 32 1/8 in (81.5 cm)
The large figure of Green Tara seated center surrounded by Tara manifestations, with Buddha Amitabha above flanked by two Taras, Shadakshari Avalokiteshvara and Padmasambhava, with Mahakala, Hyagriva and Lhamo in the lower register, all set in a mountainous landscape, and each deity identified beneath in Chinese characters.

Condition

In good to fair condition overall, with no major area of damage but creasing, loses and abrasion throughout including on the face and chest of the Green Tara, visible in photograph. No restoration. Attached to its original Chinese silk brocade mount in poor condition decorated with the shou character (longevity). No inspection of reverse as the image is backed with a modern black cotton panel.
