Catalogue Note

No inscription identifies the lama but the red cap with the sun/moon emblem would indicate the Nyingmapa order which is associated  most notably with the teachings of Padmasambhava, the spiritual father of Tibetan Buddhism. Furthermore the cloud collar, the boots and the long-sleeved robe are items of clothing commonly associated with Guru Rimpoche.
