Venugopala, Krishna as 'the cowherd with the flute', standing with his weight on his right leg and his left leg crossed over in front, a mace leaning against his knee (a device to support the weight of the figure), his arms in the position of playing the flute (cast separately now missing), wearing a diaphanous dhoti secured with a decorative belt and various items of jewelry, the eyes with metal and glass inlay.
