Ganesha Copper Alloy Northern India, Himachal Pradesh

The four-armed 'Remover of Obstacles' standing on a square base with his vehicle, the rat, prominently at the front, holding (clockwise from lower right) a ball, an axe and his broken tusk, while his trunk is placed in his lower left hand presumably picking up the sweetmeats held there. He wears a short dhoti and an upavita, and is twisted at the hip, leaning backwards to the right and throwing back his head behind which is the remains of a halo.

Both Ganesha and the rat are in a vibrant state and maybe the deity is about to begin his fabulous dance.
