Krishna is pictured surrounded by two groups of adoring companions, each group wanting to claim him exclusively to themselves, as they gambol in the waters of the Yamuna.



On the left are Krishna's male companions including Arjuna, Satyaki and Pradyumna who spray him with jets of water while at lower right, Krishna seems to enjoy this activity a lot more when he is in the company of the ladies. Krishna bestows special attention and affection upon Narada, his childhood friend and ardent devotee, who is seen alone with Krishna on the upper right.

Good overall condition. Minor spots and stains in some areas. Colors brighter than catalogue illustration. Displayed in a temporary frame for exhibition.
