In this celebratory scene, Krishna plays the lute while his entourage accompany him as they are entertained by dancers. The unrestrained joy of the moment permeates the atmosphere and even the fish in the silvery-gray waters of the Yamuna leap and frolick to the tune of Krishna's divine music.

Condition

Very good overall condition. Minute spots at the bottom of the image in the water and faint crease on upper left in the area of the orange cloud. Colours brighter than in catalogue illustration. This lot is exhibited in a temporary frame.
