Condition

Executed on buff-coloured wove paper, not laid down, T-hinged to the mount at two points on the top edge. There are several artist's pinholes to all four corners, some with associated paper losses. There are two areas of repaired foxing, to the left and right of the hat. There are scattered pinhead-sized spots of foxing at intermittent intervals to the rest of the sheet. Apart from time staining to the centre of the sheet, this work is in overall fair condition. Colours: the paper tone is warmer and overall the colours are stronger in the original.
