Condition
Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, hinged to the mount at the top two corners. There are artist's pinholes to all four corners. There is a 3cm. tear towards the centre of the right edge (not visible when framed). There are small spots of foxing to the sheet, mainly to the lower half and a nailhead-sized spot of discolouration just below the chin. There is a pinhead-sized support loss to the left cheek of the head due to overworking of the support, and intrinsic to the artist's process. Apart from several light horizontal creases across the sheet, a flattened fold to the lower left corner, and handling marks to the edges, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: the paper tone is slightly lighter in the original.
