Condition

Executed on buff-coloured wove paper, not laid down, attached to the mount at the top two corners. There is a nailhead-sized tear near the right edge above the signature, and a scratch to the paper, with a couple of pinhead-sized losses, just below it. Apart from a tiny tear to the centre of the right edge, some light flattened creases across the lower and upper right corners and some time staining to the centre of the sheet, this work is in good condition. Colours: The paper tone is less cream, more buff-coloured, and the red of the lips and the pencil lines are much stronger in the original.
