Condition

Executed on deep buff-coloured wove paper laid down on canvas. There are artist's pinholes to all four corners and to the centre of the top and bottom of the sheet. There is a join running vertically down the centre of the work, suggesting that the support comprises two sheets (visible in the catalogue illustration). Apart from some light scattered surface dirt and some staining to the edges, this work is in good condition. Colours: The catalogue illustration is much redder than the original work.
