Condition

The canvas is not lined; there is a layer of varnish applied to the reverse. There are intermittent brushstrokes of retouching throughout the sky, mainly towards the top edge, visible under UV light. Apart from some areas of fluorescence under UV light to the bottom edge, possibly retouching, this work is in fairly good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate although deeper and richer in the original.
