    the second: pencil on paper laid on thin card, strengthened in ink
  • the first: 18 3/4 by 24 1/4 in 47.5 by 61.7 cm.
  • the second: 11 3/4 by 13 7/8 in. 29.6 by 35.4 cm.
  • the first: executed in 1929 (according to an inscription on the reverse)

Condition

'Fête Champêtre': sheet toned, slight mat bleaching around edges, erased vertical mark to upper left from edge, 3 tape hinges to upper edge of reverse, a few scattered studio smudges, slight rippling, upper edge hand-cut, lower edge deckled; dealer's and framer's notations on the reverse 'The Men's Club': sheet laid on thin card, left and upper edges uneven with scattered small tears, edges of sheet creased, toned, scattered spotting and studio smudges, corners of reverse with remnants of brown tape, tape hinges to upper corners
