Catalogue Note

Dr. Joachim Pissarro has kindly confirmed the authenticity of this work and will include it in the upcoming Catalogue Raisonné of Works on Paper.
According to Dr. Pissarro, this drawing is related to the painting L'lle Lacroix, Rouen. Effet de brouillard  (Philadelphia Museum of Art,  John G. Johnson Collection).   Dr. Pissarro believes the drawing is also a study for the print L'lle Lacroix, Rouen from 1887 and that it may have once been in Lucien Pissarro's collection.
