Condition

The paper is laid down on cradled panel. There is a small dot of retouching to the centre of the left edge, a 1cm. vertical line of retouching in the clown's shoulder (on the left side of the composition) and a nailhead-sized spot of retouching in the lower right corner. All retouching is visible under UV light. Apart from a 3 by 1cm. area of retouching towards the ear of the clown (on the right side of the composition) and a nailhead-sized area of retouching next to his hat (on the right side of the composition), this work is in good condition. Colours: overall slightly lighter, especially in the darker tones.
