Condition

The canvas is lined. There is a small spot of retouching at the top of the left edge, some retouching to the right hand side of the base of the crane and a small spot to the lower right corner, all visible under UV light. A web of lines in the sky to the left of the mast lightly fluoresce under UV light, probably caused by an uneven varnish revealing the underlying pigment, possibly older retouching. This work is in good condition. Colours: The blue tones are deeper and richer in the original.
