Condition

The panel is sound. The main cloud to the upper left of the composition has been extensively retouched. There is an intermittent line of retouching running intermittently around all four edges. Due to previous frame rubbing there is further retouching around the fisherman in the foreground, around and to the top of the sail of the fishing boat, and just beyond the shore to the far left of the sea. Apart from another 1cm. sq. spot of retouching above the centre of the horizon and a pinhead-sized hole to the centre right of the upper edge, this work is in fairly good condition. Colours: The colours are richer and deeper in the original.
