Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a thick yellow varnish that prevents the UV light fully penetrating the surface. There is a line of retouching running from the lower left corner to the vase, with some small associated spots of retouching, a small area of retouching to the lower left edge with two further small spots and a 2cm. line of retouching; there are some intermittent spots of retouching running across the upper edge, there are three small spots to the centre of the left edge, and some scattered spots of retouching in the background of the upper right quadrant. There is a 10cm. line of small strokes of retouching to the right of the uppermost red flower, and a line of retouching running around a petal of the lily nearest the upper edge. This work is in good condition.
Colours: The work is slightly more yellow in the original.
