Condition

The movement is running, however we recommend service soon. The movement is stamped PXP. The dial has aged and has spots and suface scuffs, however it appears to be original and in nice condition. The radial batons appear to be in hard enamel. The case shows general wear and light surface scuffs. The outside of the back is engraved, 'To One Who Adds Honor To An Honored Name, Richard Kelly Wooten, Feb.-5-1941'. The back has one small dent to one end.

Catalogue Note

Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming production with white gold accents in 1938 and sale on September 30th of that year.

This model, Ref. 513, was produced roughly between 1937 and 1952.

This reference is known to exist with variations in the dial design, case metal combination, and with or without subsidiary seconds. Some examples featured the octagonal cal. 9-90 movement, while others, like the present lot, featured the circular cal. 8-85 movement.

According to our research, the present model is the only one known in yellow and white gold fitted with cal. 8-85.
