• cal. 27 CHRO C12 T2 manual winding nickel lever movement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance • aged silvered dial, painted Arabic numerals, three engine-turned subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 12-hour and 30-minute register, outer chapter rings calibrated for telemeter and tachometer scales • circular case, two rectangular chronograph pushers to the band, angular downturned lugs, snap back • case, dial and movement signed

Condition

The movement is running and the chronograph pushers are functioning, however it may require service. The dial appears original and has aged to a warm tone. It has spotting and marks throughout. The case has nice definition and the lugs are very unusual. There are some surface scuffs throughout from wear.

Catalogue Note

This model, Ref. 2277, was produced between 1943 and 1960. It features the movement caliber 27 CHRO C12 T2, which was the predecessor to cal. 321 that was used in many chronographs including the early 'pre-Moon' Speedmasters.

Omega confirms production of this piece and its subsequent sale on June 7th, 1947.
