Catalogue Note

With the advent of the quartz movement in 1971, Swiss watch firms rushed to develop new models featuring the cutting edge technology. Most of these models share a similar bulky rectangular or cushion shape as they all had to conform to the form of the large movement. Such pieces are now popular with collectors as they represent an interesting point in watchmaking history and their large design is in fashion today.
