Condition
Very good overall condition. The shade with approximately two cracked tiles. The gourd-shaped cap has a rich brown patina, with a few small areas of surface discoloration and soiling. The sockets and switches all appear to be original. The chain (which is oxidized) and accompanying hardware appear to be period. The reverse side of each tile is plated on the interior of the shade. As a result the shade is very heavy, and weighs approximately 60 pounds. The chandelier presents beautifully in person, and the tiles illuminate in subtle tones of red and violet. When un-illuminated, the chandelier is equally impressive, and the tiles display spectacular iridescence with brilliant color.
