Condition

Good overall condition. The shade with approximately 30-33 cracks to the glass scattered throughout. The shade has evidence of a prior impact to the rim which is slightly indented in that area with a concentration of cracks. One tile to the bottom border in this area is lacking a half-inch triangular piece of glass. With substantial surface soiling and dirt embedded around the shade leading that would benefit from a thorough cleaning. There is some grinding to the leading just below the top aperture of the shade. There is a small gap in space between the outer circumference of the shade and the inside diameter of the support ring on the base. The support ring is slightly out of round in one area and would benefit from a minor adjustment. The base is finely cast and has a deep rich patina with light rubbing and surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The circular plate on the underbase which conceals the underside of the central base standard appears to be an old replacement, and three screws also appear to have been added to the underbase, presumably when the lamp was converted for electricity. The shade and support ring of the base are discreetly engraved with the prior owner's name and telephone number. The sockets and switches all appear to be original. A particularly attractive and finely cast example of this rare and desirable base model. The shade with an unusual selection of glass, particularly in the clear "confetti" background glass.
