wearing a lace trimmed dress and a red cape, diamond jewellery, gold and silver frame set with rose-cut diamonds, glazed reverse, contained in an early 18th century tortoiseshell and silver piqué snuff box

Condition

Ivory ground. There is minor paint loss on the red shawl at the margin, lower left. There is slight oxidisation of the whites used in the jewellery. The diamonds are worth £200-300.
