Catalogue Note
The inscription on the shell case reads: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation" (Isaiah 2:4).
The bronze plaque is signed by Moshe Murro (1888-1957), who studied at the Bezalel School from 1921, and was one of the most important artists working at Bezalel in the early years. He established the Kamea Craft Shop for carving in stone, shell and ivory.
