Description
Comprising a ring, circa 1945, set with an oval jade cabochon measuring approximately 16.9 by 13.4 mm., flanked by 6 round diamonds, mounted in gold, size 7, signed Cartier, numbered 7640; two jade bead necklaces, the beads graduating from approximately 5.1 to 9.2 mm., each completed by a delicate barrel-form clasp pavé-set with rose-cut diamonds, lengths 19½ and 23½ inches, and a double-strand bracelet of jade beads measuring approximately 5.8 to 4.8 mm., length 7¾ inches. Together with an additional diamond-set clasp.
Condition
Group consists of RING: The jade cabochon is semi-opaque, the diamonds are approximately G-H color and VS clarity. Signed Cartier 7640 inside the shank. TWO NECKLACES: The jade beads are more color-mottled than pictured in the catalogue, the diamonds are of decorative quality. Though the clasps are similar, they cannot be joined to each other to form a long necklace. BRACELET: Beads are more color mottled than pictured in the catalogue. DIAMOND CLASP is similar to the other two on the jade bead necklaces. All pieces are in good condition. The jade is a slightly paler shade than pictured in the catalogue for all the pieces in the group.
